By the way, let us tell you that WhatsApp already had the facility to transfer iOS data to Android, but there was no facility to transfer WhatsApp chats of Android phones to iOS. But now it is possible. This new feature was announced about 10 months ago and now its update has been released. Now in such a situation, if you are also thinking of transferring WhatsApp chats from your Android smartphone to iPhone, then also know that this feature will be available only on Android devices with Android 5 or above and iOS 15.5 or above.
If you’re switching from an Android device to an iPhone, you can transfer your WhatsApp account information, profile photos, chats, group chats, chat history, media, and settings. You cannot transfer your call history or your name (display name) visible to contacts on WhatsApp. For this data backup, you have to download Move to iOS app on your Android phone. The special thing is that you will not need any cable for data transfer, you will only be able to transfer data wirelessly, although you will definitely need a Wi-Fi network. Connect both your devices to the same Wi-Fi network or connect your Android device to your iPhone’s hotspot.
How to transfer data from Android to iPhone 1. Open the Move to iOS app on your Android phone and follow the on-screen instructions. 2. A code will appear on your iPhone. When prompted, enter the code on your Android phone.
3. Tap on Continue and follow the on-screen instructions. 4. Select WhatsApp on the Transfer data screen. 5. Tap Get started on Android phone and wait for WhatsApp to export the data. When the data is ready for transfer, you will be signed out of WhatsApp on your Android phone.
6. Tap Next to return to the Move to iOS app. 7. Tap on Continue to transfer data from Android phone to iPhone and wait for the Move to iOS app to complete the transfer.
8. Download the latest version of WhatsApp from the App Store. 9. Open WhatsApp and log in with the same number you were using on your old phone. 10. When prompted, tap on Start and let the process complete.
11. When your new device is activated, you can view your WhatsApp chats.
